TL;DR

Your reminders and personal data belong to you. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. The only third parties that touch your data are the services we need to run the app.

This policy describes how Hockey Labs, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Remy application (“Remy”, “the app”).

01
§1

What We Collect

Account informationWhen you sign up, we collect your email address. We also store your timezone and notification preferences.
RemindersThe content you create in Remy — reminder titles, notes, dates, and scheduling details — is stored so the app can function. This data is synced between our servers and your device.
Device informationIf you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver notifications to your device. We also store whether you are on iOS or Android.
Purchase informationIf you subscribe or make a purchase, transaction details are processed by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat (our subscription management provider). We receive confirmation of your entitlement status but do not see or store your payment card details.
Authentication tokensWe store tokens from Google or Apple if you use those sign-in methods, solely to verify your identity.
Crash and diagnostic informationWhen Remy crashes or encounters an error, Sentry may receive error messages and stack traces; app version and release; device model, operating system and version, browser type, language, timezone, screen and memory information; network and request metadata, including IP address; timestamps; a pseudonymous device or event identifier; and actions or technical events immediately before the error. Diagnostic reports may incidentally include personal information contained in an error message, URL, request, or other technical context. We do not use Sentry session replay or performance tracing.
02
§2

How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

Operate the app and deliver your reminders on time
Send you push notifications you have scheduled
Authenticate your account
Process purchases and manage subscriptions
Analyze crashes, diagnose technical problems, maintain security, and improve reliability using Sentry and our internal analytics

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the app.

03
§3

We rely on a limited number of third parties to operate the app. These services process data only as needed to perform their function:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

04
§4

Legal Bases

Where a law requires a legal basis, we process account and reminder data as necessary to provide Remy and perform our contract with you. We process crash and diagnostic information based on our legitimate interests in securing, debugging, and improving Remy. We limit this processing to information reasonably needed for those purposes. Where applicable, we also process information to comply with law and protect users, Remy, and our legal rights. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests as described below.

05
§5

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Convex’s cloud infrastructure and cached locally on your device for offline use. Authentication tokens are kept in secure, platform-provided storage (Keychain on iOS, encrypted storage on Android). Sentry diagnostic data is sent to Sentry’s European Union region. Sentry and its subprocessors may also access or process data in the United States, Canada, Austria, the Netherlands, and other locations listed in Sentry’s subprocessor documentation. Those countries may have different privacy laws, and information may be available to courts, law enforcement, or national-security authorities under local law.

For transfers from the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on applicable adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension where available, and contractual safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum. We require service providers to protect personal information under contract and use comparable safeguards for transfers from other countries. You may contact us for information about applicable safeguards.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data in transit and at rest.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.

06
§6

Your Rights and Choices

Delete your accountYou can delete your account and all associated data from within the app. Deletion is permanent.
Revoke sign-inYou can sign out at any time, which revokes your authentication token and clears all local data from your device.
Push notificationsYou can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
Privacy requestsDepending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; object to or withdraw consent for certain processing; and appeal our response. You may also lodge a complaint with your local privacy regulator. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Email remy@try.hockey to make a request or complaint. We may need to verify your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request where local law permits.
07
§7

Data Retention

We keep account and reminder data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete that data from our active systems, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup retention needs. Sentry crash and diagnostic events are retained for no longer than 90 days, then deleted or anonymized, subject to limited backup retention and any shorter account setting. We may keep aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

08
§8

Children’s Privacy

Remy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

09
§9

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Remy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
